The director of Stennis International Airport remains hopeful that the FAA will spare small air traffic control towers from budget cuts.
Bill Cotter says he is pleased that the FAA has delayed its plan to shut down 149 air traffic control towers including the one at Stennis Airport in Hancock County.
Those towers were supposed to close yesterday, but last Friday, the FAA decided to keep them open until June 15.
