Abigail Arcement has been named Valedictorian of the Hancock High School Senior Class of 2012. Abigail is the daughter of Leslie Ladner and Brian Arcement. Abbey has two younger siblings, Eli and Clara Arcement.  Abbey is a National Merit Finalist. Abbey was the captain of the Hancock volleyball team and has played volleyball for all four years at HHS.

University of Southern Mississippi President Martha D. Saunders announced today that Vice President for Research Dr. Denis Wiesenburg has been named as the university’s next provost, pending approval by the Mississippi Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning.

Pam Tomasovsky, General Manager of the Diamondhead Property Owners Association announced that Adrianna Shea has accepted the position of Executive Chef at the Diamondhead Country Club.

BAY ST. LOUIS, Miss. – The NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC) Executive Director Michael J. Smith named Rebecca Dubuisson as the organization’s deputy director, effective March 25, 2012. 

As deputy director, Ms. Dubuisson will assist Smith in managing the NSSC and providing leadership to the business and technical functional areas of financial management, human resources, information technology, procurement and agency business support services.

The Kohl’s Department Stores (NYSE: KSS) Kohl’s Cares® Scholarship Program will award more than $420,000 in scholarships and prizes, ranging from $50 Kohl’s gift cards to $10,000 scholarships, to more than 2,200 young volunteers who have made a positive impact on their communities.
